The Difference Between Cold Galvanizing And Hot Galvanizing For Solar Street Light

The purpose of solar street lamp, cold galvanizing and hot galvanizing is to prevent corrosion and prolong the service life of street lamps and lanterns. But compared with cold galvanizing, hot galvanizing can be more anticorrosive.

First, process differentiation:

Cold galvanizing also called electro galvanized, is the use of the workpiece after electrolysis equipment except oil, after pickling solution into the composition of the zinc salt, negative electrode and connecting the electrolysis equipment, anode, zinc plate placed in the workpiece in the electrolysis equipment connected across the power supply is switched on, the current directional moves from the anode to the negative pole, will depositing a layer of zinc on the workpiece;

Hot galvanizing is to remove the oil from the workpiece, pickling, dipping and drying, and then dip it into the molten zinc for a certain period of time.

Difference in appearance:

Electro galvanized surface is smooth and bright, the color passivation process of electroplating layer is also yellow green, mainly color, showing seven colors. The white layer with white passivation process is blue or white and green, and the coating of white passivation process is a little colorful at a certain angle from the sunlight. In the corner of complex workpiece, it is easy to produce "electric burn" and become gloomy. The zinc layer in this part is thicker. In the negative corner, it is easy to form the electric current dead angle, which leads to the less current dark zone, and the zinc layer is thinner in this area. The whole workpiece has no zinc lump or caking phenomenon.

Hot dip galvanized appearance is slightly rough, silvery white appearance, easy to produce and process water a few drops of tumor, especially in the one end of the workpiece is more obvious. But the zinc coating of hot dip galvanizing is several times thicker than that of electro galvanizing, and the corrosion resistance is several times of that of zinc plating.
